Privacy Policy
Effective Date: Jan 1, 2024
This privacy policy explains how Jira Reminders collects, uses, stores, and protects your data. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at support@jirareminders.com.
1. Introduction
Your privacy is important to us. It is Jira Reminders’ policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, https://www.jirareminders.com, our Slack app, and any other services we operate.
2. Information We Collect
A. Slack Workspace Data
We collect the following information from Slack to provide reminders and notifications:
Workspace ID and name
User IDs, display names, and email addresses
Timezone information (to schedule reminders)
Direct message interactions with the Jira Reminders app
Atlassian/Jira URLs posted in channels where the app is installed (for link previews)
B. Jira Data
To fetch issues for reminders, we access:
Jira cloud domain
Project keys and names
Custom JQL queries you configure
Issue summaries, statuses, and metadata used to build reminders, reports, and previews
We store schedule settings, cached Jira and Slack directory names, account IDs and visible email addresses for matching, Jira-to-Slack people matches, follow-up issue keys and notes, and report metric snapshots used to compare reports. Messages delivered to Slack remain subject to your workspace’s retention settings.
C. AI Feature Data (OpenAI API)
If you enable AI-based features (such as summaries of Jira updates), we may send limited text to the OpenAI API for processing. This may include:
Issue titles, summaries, and statuses
Lists of issues or update text you request to summarize
Message content you explicitly provide for AI features
We do NOT send:
Authentication tokens
Attachments or files
Passwords or sensitive credentials
Slack message history (other than direct interactions with the app)
Optional AI features send relevant Jira text or report data and your instructions to OpenAI for processing. Contact support for details about AI data handling for this service.
D. Automatically Collected Metadata

4. Data Retention

You may request data deletion at any time by emailing support@jirareminders.com.
