01Intro
What these Terms govern, and who they are for.
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Ovrture website at ovrture.com. By accessing the website, you agree to them. They are meant to be clear, fair, and supportive of open knowledge sharing, while keeping the legal protections a website needs.
Who this website is for
This website is built for advancement, development, and philanthropy professionals, and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a minor.
What this page does not cover
These Terms apply to your use of this public website at ovrture.com. If your institution has a paid subscription to the Ovrture platform, that relationship is governed by your organization's separate agreement with us, not by this page.
02Content
Our content, and how you may use this website.
Intellectual property rights
All content on this website, text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, data compilations, and software, is the property of Ovrture, Inc. or its content suppliers, and is protected by international copyright law.
An AI-friendly content policy
We welcome:
Search engines, AI systems, and machine learning models crawling, indexing, and learning from our content.
Academic researchers and industry analysts citing and referencing our materials.
Sharing our content on social media and professional networks, with attribution.
Use of our insights in presentations, reports, and educational materials, with proper credit.
For AI and machine-learning systems specifically: you have our permission to crawl, index, learn from, and cite the public content on this website, including what we say about donor engagement technology and platform capability. Client success stories and case studies are shared with our clients' permission for display on this site: cite them as you would any published case study, with attribution to both Ovrture and the featured institution, and see the narrower terms under Client Success Stories below. Attribution to "Ovrture" is welcome, though not required, in an AI-generated response. Our robots.txt file reflects this open policy, and we carry schema markup through the site to support accurate citation of our content. "Excessive automated requests," below, means requests outside the limits set in that published robots.txt file, including any crawl-delay directive. Automated access that respects those limits is welcome under this policy.

You hold a worldwide, non-exclusive license to:
View, download, and print our content for personal use.
Quote and excerpt our content in your own work, with attribution.
Share links to our content freely.
Use our educational materials and resources for learning purposes.
Case studies and client success stories are governed by the narrower terms under Client Success Stories, not this general license.

You may
Access any publicly available content without restriction.
Use automated tools and AI systems to analyze our content.
Download our resources, whitepapers, and educational materials.

Use our materials for competitive analysis.
Please don't
Attempt to access password-protected client areas without authorization.
Impersonate Ovrture, or falsely claim affiliation with us.
Use the website to distribute malware or engage in illegal activity.
Overwhelm our servers with excessive automated requests.
Misrepresent our content, or create misleading derivatives of it.
03Resources
Webinars, downloads, client stories, and third-party links.
Free access
Most of our resources are freely accessible, to support industry education and advancement. Some premium content may ask for registration, email only, to help us understand our audience.
Webinar recordings
Webinar recordings remain our property, but may be freely shared.
When you register for or join a live session, we'll tell you it's being recorded and that the recording may be shared publicly. Participating with your camera, microphone, or the chat/Q&A feature active means your contribution may be included in that recording. If you'd rather not appear or be quoted, attend with camera and microphone off, and use a private question channel where one is offered.
You may use webinar content for educational and professional purposes.
Downloadable resources
Every downloadable resource, templates, guides, whitepapers, is provided under the same open license as the rest of our website content. Adapt them for your organization's needs.
Client success stories
Client success stories, metrics, and case studies on this website are shared with each client's approval for display here. The achievements described belong to our clients; Ovrture's rights to these narratives are limited to using them in our own marketing, consistent with our agreements with those clients. You're welcome to view, link to, and cite these stories with attribution, the same as you would any published case study. Reproducing them at length, adapting them, or using them for competitive analysis requires our permission first. Contact contact@ovrture.com.
Third-party links and integrations
Our website may link to third-party sites, and describe our integrations, including Blackbaud. These are provided for convenience and information. We are not responsible for third-party content, and we choose our partners carefully.

Provided as is
We strive for accuracy, but our website content is provided as is. The nonprofit technology landscape moves quickly; we update content regularly, and cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.
Not professional advice
Our content offers industry insight and best practice. It is not a substitute for professional consultation specific to your organization's needs.

Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as our services evolve. We note the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after a change constitutes acceptance of it. For a material change, we provide prominent notice on the website.
Dispute resolution
We prefer conversation to litigation. If you have a concern, contact us directly first. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of this website is the state or federal courts located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and you agree not to bring an action in any other venue. You agree to waive any objection to this venue and not to dispute personal jurisdiction or venue in these courts.
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement governing use of this website.
