This privacy statement outlines how Dossier collects and processes information about visitors to our websites and other digital platforms. It also provides details about your rights when your data is collected.
Dossier, acting under the authority of its Chief Executive Officer, serves as the data processor for personal data collected in connection with services provided to our customers. As the data processor, Dossier processes personal data on behalf of and in accordance with the instructions of its customers, who act as the data controllers. Visitors to our websites may voluntarily disclose personal data when subscribing to services, such as newsletters. Unless specified otherwise, processing is based on the individual’s consent.
Furthermore, Data Processing Agreements are in place between Dossier and its customers to ensure the secure and lawful handling of personal data in compliance with applicable regulations.
Service Offering Login / Use
Users can log in to Dossier services via dossier.no, dossierprofile.com, or dossiersolutions.no. Upon login, they are directed to a dedicated page for entering their username and password, in accordance with Dossier’s user management practices and the applicable customer agreements. Access to Dossier services is governed by a specific Data Processing Agreement, which ensures the secure and compliant handling of personal data.
Web analytics and cookies
As an important part of producing a user-friendly website, we analyze the behavior of users visiting our website (Not Service Offering). To analyze this data, we use the Google Analytics analysis tool. Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files that the website stores on the user’s computer) that record the user’s IP address and provide information about the websites a specific user visits online. Examples of information these statistics provide include: how many people visit various pages, how long each visit lasts, which websites users arrive from, and which browsers are being used. None of the cookies allow us to associate information about your use of the website to you as an individual.
The data collected by Google Analytics is stored on Google’s servers in the US. Any information received is subject to Google’s privacy guidelines.
Search
Dossier stores data in Google Analytics on which search terms users use on our websites. The purpose of storing this data is to improve the quality of the information that we provide. The search usage pattern is stored in aggregate form. Only the search terms are stored and they cannot be tied to other user data, such as IP addresses.
Page and service functionality
Cookies are used to process and present data from websites. Such cookies may contain information about the language code for the language selected by the user. There may also be cookies containing data that supports system load balancing so that all users are assured the best experience possible.
Mobile Information and Third-Party Sharing
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your mobile information, including but not limited to phone numbers, mobile device details, and usage data, is kept secure. Newsletters and information from Dossier
Anyone who would like to receive such information may subscribe to newsletters from various professional fields and/or information about Dossier events. In order for us to direct e-mails to the right individual, we need to record your name and e-mail address. So that we can invite you to current events, we also record the name of the business you work for and occasionally other information that is relevant in relation to this. This data is stored in our HubSpot CRM system so we can send the correct information as specified by the individual user. This data is not shared with other companies and is deleted once we receive notification that you no longer wish to receive information from us. The data is also deleted if we are notified that your e-mail address is no longer active.

This section applies solely to our service offering and does not address the processing of personal data in relation to our website, sales, or marketing activities.
Commitment to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF)
Dossier complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Dossier has been certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union and the United Kingdom in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern. European Data Protection Authority Cooperation
In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, Dossier commits to cooperate and comply respectively with the advice of the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) with regard to unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF.
