How JOBJIM collects, uses, and protects personal information.
1. Who we are
JOBJIM ("we," "us") is a career-transition platform operated by JOBJIM Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal office at 3812 Richland Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75022. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Questions: privacy@jobjim.ai.
2. Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, and login credentials.
Profile and career data: work history, goals, assessments, and training, including "Calling Compass" results and your career roadmap.
Training and credential data: courses enrolled, progress, and certificates earned.
Usage data: how you interact with the platform — we use usage data to operate the service; any analyses to improve the service use de-identified or aggregated data only.
AI assistant interactions: messages you send to our AI assistant ("Jim") and its responses (see Section 5).
Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe; we receive billing contact details but do not store full card numbers.
Communications: emails and messages you exchange with us or through the platform.
3. How we use information
To provide and operate the JOBJIM platform and your account (service-improvement analyses use de-identified or aggregated data only).
To deliver training, assessments, credentials, and AI-assisted guidance.
To process payments and manage partner and sponsorship relationships.
To communicate with you about the service.
To keep the platform secure and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not allow it to be used to train third-party AI models.
4. How we share information
Only as needed to run the service.
Service providers (sub-processors): established providers that host our data, send email, process payments, and power AI features, each under contract (see our Sub-processor List).
Partner organizations: where you participate through a sponsor or partner program (for example, a workforce board), we share only the information necessary to administer that program — such as enrollment status, progress, and credentials — consistent with the program agreement and applicable law; we do not sell this data.
Legal and safety: where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
5. AI features
Our AI assistant helps answer your career questions. Your message and a small amount of relevant context are sent to an enterprise AI service over an encrypted connection. We send only what is needed; we do not include your account identifiers in the AI prompt, and your data is not used to train the providers' models. A detailed AI Data-Flow Statement is available on request.
6. Data retention and your choices
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal and program requirements, after which it is deleted or de-identified (see our Data Retention & Deletion Policy). Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us; we will verify your request and respond within the time required by law.
7. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit and at rest, database-level access controls (Row-Level Security), least-privilege administration with multi-factor authentication on privileged accounts, monitoring, and a documented incident-response process. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information and improve continuously.
8. Data location
We store and process personal information in the United States.
9. Children
JOBJIM is intended for adults. The platform is for users aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Where a workforce program serves youth, any such cohort is scoped to 18+ for the pilot and addressed in the applicable program agreement, with parental-consent and child-data protections applied if minors are ever in scope. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Texas residents (TDPSA)
If you are a Texas resident, you have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data; to access, correct, and delete it; and to obtain a portable copy. You may opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling — though we do not sell personal data (including sensitive data) and do not use it for targeted advertising. We obtain your consent before processing sensitive data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@jobjim.ai; we will verify and respond within 45 days (extendable once as allowed by law). If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if an appeal is denied, you may contact the Texas Attorney General.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will post the new effective date. For questions or to exercise your rights, contact privacy@jobjim.ai or JOBJIM Inc., 3812 Richland Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75022. See also our Accessibility Statement and Security & Trust page.
