Vulnerability Disclosure Policy
Enboarder welcomes responsible vulnerability research that helps protect our users, systems, and data.
Responsible disclosure. Please report potential vulnerabilities to [email protected]. Reports are used for defensive purposes only.
Enboarder is committed to ensuring the security of its users by protecting their information. This policy is intended to give security researchers clear guidelines for conducting vulnerability discovery activities and to convey our preferences in how to submit discovered vulnerabilities to us.
We encourage you to contact us at [email protected] to report potential vulnerabilities in our systems.
Scope
This policy explains which systems and research activities are covered.
Reporting
Send vulnerability reports to Enboarder through the approved reporting channel.
Disclosure Timing
Researchers are asked to give Enboarder reasonable time to resolve issues before public disclosure.
This Policy Covers
What systems and types of research are covered under this policy.
How to send us vulnerability reports.
How long we ask security researchers to wait before publicly disclosing vulnerabilities.
Authorisation to Conduct Vulnerability Research
If you make a good faith effort to comply with this policy during your security research:
We will consider your research to be authorised and will work with you to understand and resolve the issue quickly.
Enboarder will not recommend or pursue legal action related to your research.
Should legal action be initiated by a third party against you for activities that were conducted in accordance with this policy, we will make this authorisation known.
Vulnerability Research Guidelines
Under this policy, “research” means activities in which you:
Notify us as soon as possible after you discover a real or potential security issue.
Make every effort to avoid privacy violations, degradation of user experience, disruption to production systems, and destruction or manipulation of data.
Only use exploits to the extent necessary to confirm a vulnerability’s presence. Do not use an exploit to compromise or exfiltrate data, establish persistent command line access, or use the exploit to pivot to other systems.
Provide us a reasonable amount of time to resolve the issue before you disclose it publicly.
Do not submit a high volume of low-quality reports.
Stop testing if sensitive data is encountered. Once you establish that a vulnerability exists or encounter any sensitive data, including personally identifiable information, financial information, proprietary information, or trade secrets of any party, you must stop your test, notify us immediately, and not disclose this data to anyone else.
Testing Methods
The following test methods are not authorised and expressly forbidden:
Network denial of service (DoS or DDoS) tests or other tests that impair access to or damage a system or data.
Physical testing, including office access, open doors, tailgating, social engineering, phishing, vishing, or any other non-technical vulnerability testing.
Approved Vulnerability Research Scope
This policy applies to the following systems and services:
*.enboarder.com
Any service not expressly listed above, such as any connected services, is excluded from scope and is not authorised for testing. Vulnerabilities found in systems from our vendors fall outside of this policy’s scope and should be reported directly to the vendor according to their disclosure policy, if any.
If you are not sure whether a system is in scope, contact us at [email protected] before starting your research.
Though we develop and maintain other internet-accessible systems or services, we ask that active research and testing only be conducted on the systems and services covered by the scope of this document. If there is a particular system not in scope that you think merits testing, please contact us to discuss it first. We will increase the scope of this policy over time.
Reporting a Vulnerability
Information submitted under this policy will be used for defensive purposes only — to mitigate or remediate vulnerabilities. If your findings include newly discovered vulnerabilities that affect all users of a product or service and not solely Enboarder’s security, we may share your report with our internal security team, where it will be handled under their coordinated vulnerability disclosure process. We will not share your name or contact information without express permission.
Report by email. At this stage, we accept vulnerability reports via [email protected] only.
Reports may be submitted anonymously. If you share contact information, we will acknowledge receipt of your report within 5 business days.
What we would like to see from you
Describe the location the vulnerability was discovered and the potential impact of exploitation.
Offer a detailed description of the steps needed to reproduce the vulnerability. Proof of concept scripts or screenshots are helpful.
Be in English, if possible.
What you can expect from us
Within 5 business days, we will acknowledge that your report has been received.
To the best of our ability, we will confirm the existence of the vulnerability and be transparent about remediation steps and any issues that may delay resolution.
We will maintain an open dialogue to discuss issues.
You will be rewarded according to the severity level of the criticality found.
Legal Exposure
Security researchers must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws in connection with security research activities or other participation in the VDP. Enboarder does not authorize, permit, or otherwise allow, expressly or implied, any person or entity to engage in security research or vulnerability or threat disclosure activity that is inconsistent with the VDP or the law.
Security researchers may be subject to fines, imprisonment, or other penalties if they engage in any activities in violation of the law, including unauthorised attempts to access, obtain, upload, modify, change, or delete information on this system, which are strictly prohibited.
For purposes of the VDP, unauthorised access includes, but is not limited to, any access by an employee or agent of a commercial entity, or other third party, who is not the individual user of the application described above, for purposes of commercial advantage or private financial gain.
To the extent that any security research or vulnerability disclosure activity involves the networks, systems, information, applications, products, or services of an entity other than Enboarder, those third-party partners may independently determine whether to pursue legal action or remedies related to such activities.
For those security research activities conducted in accordance with the restrictions and guidelines set forth in this policy, and that Enboarder concludes represent a good faith effort to follow this policy, Enboarder will deem such activities authorised and will not recommend or pursue legal action.
Policy changes. Enboarder may modify the terms of the VDP or terminate the VDP at any time in its sole and absolute discretion. This policy is not intended to create any right or benefit enforceable at law or in equity by any party against Enboarder or related entities.
