Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Altis Consulting Pty Ltd (“Altis”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting personal information and handling it in an open and transparent manner. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and manage personal information across our website, consulting and technology services, business operations, and recruitment processes.
We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and other applicable laws, including the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), as well as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable. Where we collect, hold, use or disclose personal information in New Zealand or about individuals in New Zealand, we also comply with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) and the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs).

This Policy applies to personal information we handle across our website, services, business relationships and recruitment activities, and may be supplemented by additional privacy notices where required.
3. What Personal Information We Collect
We may collect personal information including:

We collect personal information directly from you (for example through forms, communications and meetings), through our website (including cookies and analytics tools), from third parties (such as clients, recruiters and service providers), and through our service delivery platforms and systems.
We sometimes collect personal information about you from someone other than you (“indirect collection”). Our sources of indirect collection include our clients and their personnel, datasets clients provide to us for analytics, referral partners and affiliates, recruiters, referees and background checking providers and publicly available sources. Where we collect your personal information indirectly on or after 1 May 2026, we take reasonable steps to make you aware of who we are, why we collected it, who we share it with and your rights to access and correct it, unless an exception applies.
5. Purposes for Using Personal Information
We use personal information to deliver our consulting, analytics and technology services, manage client engagements, improve our website and services, undertake marketing and business development activities (where permitted), support recruitment and workforce management, and meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected or for related purposes where permitted by law.
6. Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to related entities and affiliates, clients (as part of service delivery), contractors and service providers, professional advisers, and regulatory or government authorities where required by law.
Where we process personal information on behalf of clients, our use and disclosure is governed by our contractual arrangements with those clients.
7. Overseas Disclosure
Altis does not disclose personal information processed on behalf of clients to overseas recipients.
In limited circumstances, personal information may be disclosed overseas (for example, through the use of cloud or technology service providers). Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure that those recipients handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
8. Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand usage, improve functionality and user experience, and support analytics and performance monitoring.

12. Processing on Behalf of Clients
In many cases, Altis acts as a service provider and processes personal information on behalf of clients. In these circumstances, the client determines how personal information is handled and our processing is governed by our agreement with that client.
If you have concerns about personal information processed on a client’s behalf, you should contact that client directly.
13. International Data Protection (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on appropriate lawful bases, in accordance with applicable rights, and with safeguards for cross-border transfers.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be available on our website, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
