What we access
Metadata in, message content out
Response time analytics only needs to know who emailed whom, and when. So that's what EmailAnalytics collects.
What EmailAnalytics stores
Email addresses of senders and recipients
Sent and received timestamps
Subject lines
Metrics calculated from them, like response time and email volume
What it doesn't do
Read or store message bodies (by default)
Send, change or delete any email: access is read-only
Require any software, plugin or add-in on your team's devices
Keep your data after you delete it: you can delete everything on demand
If you use the AI add-on: SLA alerts, sentiment analysis and Response Insights need to read message bodies. For the inboxes you turn on, EmailAnalytics briefly accesses body content for AI analysis and then discards it. Body content is never stored in our database, and you can add senders to an AI ignore list so their emails are never scanned. See which features use AI

FAQ
Security and privacy: common questions
Does EmailAnalytics read my emails?
No. By default, EmailAnalytics only accesses email metadata: email addresses, timestamps and subject lines. It does not read or store the body content of your emails. The one exception is the optional AI add-on, described below.
What email data does EmailAnalytics store?
Email addresses, timestamps and subject lines, plus the metrics calculated from them, such as response times and email volume. This data is always encrypted.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. EmailAnalytics retrieves email data through a fully encrypted connection to the Gmail or Outlook API, and all communication between Gmail or Outlook and our servers is encrypted.
Where is my data hosted?
Our servers and database run on Google Cloud.
Can EmailAnalytics send, change or delete my email?
No. EmailAnalytics only requests read-only access. None of your email data is altered or changed.
How do the AI features handle email content?

You can also add senders to an AI ignore list so their emails are never scanned.

How do I delete my data?
Go to your settings page and click "Delete account," or email us at info@emailanalytics.com. You can delete all of your data on demand, at any time.
Does EmailAnalytics undergo security audits?
