Visit our website at adzviser.com, or any website of ours that links to this privacy notice
Engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, or events
Questions or concerns? Reading this privacy notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have any questions or concerns, please contact us at zeyuan.gu@adzviser.com.
Summary of key points
This summary provides key points from our privacy notice, but you can find out more details about any of these topics by clicking the link following each key point or by using our table of contents below to find the section you are looking for.
What personal information do we process? When you visit, use, or navigate our Services, we may process personal information depending on how you interact with Adzviser LLC and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use.
Do we process any sensitive personal information? We process account-access and connection credentials, which can qualify as sensitive personal information under applicable law. See sensitive information below.
Do we receive any information from third parties? Yes. When you connect a data source and authorize access, Adzviser receives account information and reporting data from that platform to provide the Services. The information received depends on the source you connect and the permissions you grant.
How do we process your information? We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent. We process your information only when we have a valid legal reason to do so.
In what situations and with which parties do we share personal information? We may share information in specific situations and with specific third parties.
How do we keep your information safe? We have organizational and technical processes and procedures in place to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information.
What are your rights? Depending on where you are located geographically, the applicable privacy law may mean you have certain rights regarding your personal information.
How do you exercise your rights? To exercise your privacy rights, email us at zeyuan.gu@adzviser.com with a description of your request. We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
What information do we collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:
names
email addresses
contact
Sensitive Information. We process login information, passwords, authorization tokens, API keys, and other connection credentials as needed to authenticate users, connect authorized accounts, and fulfill reporting and export requests. California law classifies an individual's account login combined with credentials that allow access to the account as sensitive personal information. Not every technical identifier or business-system credential is necessarily personal information; its classification depends on what it identifies or permits access to.
The GDPR and UK GDPR use a different category, special-category personal data, which includes information such as health, racial or ethnic origin, and religious beliefs. Credentials are not special-category data solely because they enable account access. Personal information retrieved from connected sources or supplied in support requests must be considered according to its actual contents; it is not automatically non-sensitive because it is used for reporting. See how credentials are handled.
Payment and billing information. For purchases through Lemon Squeezy, you enter payment details in its hosted checkout or billing portal. Lemon Squeezy handles those payment details under its privacy policy. Adzviser's subscription records contain billing metadata such as your name and email, plan, subscription and invoice identifiers, amounts, payment status, renewal or end dates, and a payment-method update link; they do not contain your full card number or card security code. If you purchase through a marketplace, that provider handles checkout under its own policies, and Adzviser uses the associated subscription information to manage your access.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Information automatically collected
In Short: Some information - such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics-is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.
The information we collect includes:
Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type, and settings and information about your activity in the Services (such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and files viewed, searches, and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called "crash dumps"), and hardware settings).
Device Data. We collect device data such as information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other device you use to access the Services. Depending on the device used, this device data may include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device and application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, Internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, operating system, and system configuration information.
Location-related information. IP addresses collected when you use the Services may indicate approximate location. Reports retrieved from connected sources may also contain geographic fields, depending on the source and your request. Those fields describe the source data and do not necessarily describe your device's location. The precision and sensitivity of that information depend on the actual fields received.
How do we process your information?
In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.
To respond to user inquiries/offer support to users. We may process your information to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the requested service.
To send administrative information to you. We may process your information to send you details about our products and services, changes to our terms and policies, and other similar information.
To fulfill and manage your orders. We may process your information to fulfill and manage your orders, payments, returns, and exchanges made through the Services.
To request feedback. We may process your information when necessary to request feedback and to contact you about your use of our Services.
To send you marketing and promotional communications. We may process the personal information you send to us for our marketing purposes, if this is in accordance with your marketing preferences. You can opt out of our marketing emails at any time. For more information, see "WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?" below).
To protect our Services. We may process your information as part of our efforts to keep our Services safe and secure, including fraud monitoring and prevention.
To identify usage trends. We may process information about how you use our Services to better understand how they are being used so we can improve them.
To save or protect an individual's vital interest. We may process your information when necessary to save or protect an individual's vital interest, such as to prevent harm.
What legal bases do we rely on to process your information?
In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (i.e., legal basis) to do so under applicable law, like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfill our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfill our legitimate business interests.
EU or UK
If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on in order to process your personal information. As such, we may rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:
Consent. We may process your information if you have given us permission (ie., consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Performance of a Contract. We may process your personal information when we believe it is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, including providing our Services or at your request prior to entering into a contract with you.
Legitimate Interests. We may process your information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests and those interests do not outweigh your interests and fundamental rights and freedoms. For example, we may process your personal information for some of the purposes described in order to:
Send users information about special offers and discounts on our products and services
Analyze how our Services are used so we can improve them to engage and retain users
Diagnose problems and/or prevent fraudulent activities
Understand how our users use our products and services so we can improve user experience
Legal Obligations. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations, such as to cooperate with a law enforcement body or regulatory agency, exercise or defend our legal rights, or disclose your information as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
Vital Interests. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of a third party, such as situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person.
Canada
If you are located in Canada, this section applies to you
We may process your information if you have given us specific permission (i.e., express consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose, or in situations where your permission can be inferred (i.e., implied consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
In some exceptional cases, we may be legally permitted under applicable law to process your information without your consent, including, for example:
If collection is clearly in the interests of an individual and consent cannot be obtained in a timely way
For investigations and fraud detection and prevention
For business transactions provided certain conditions are met
If it is contained in a witness statement and the collection is necessary to assess, process, or settle an insurance claim
For identifying injured, ill, or deceased persons and communicating with next of kin
If we have reasonable grounds to believe an individual has been, is, or may be victim of financial abuse
If it is reasonable to expect collection and use with consent would compromise the availability or the accuracy of the information and the collection is reasonable for purposes related to investigating a breach of an agreement or a contravention of the laws of Canada or a province
If disclosure is required to comply with a subpoena, warrant, court order, or rules of the court relating to the production of records
If it was produced by an individual in the course of their employment, business, or profession and the collection is consistent with the purposes for which the information was produced
If the collection is solely for journalistic, artistic, or literary purposes
If the information is publicly available and is specified by the regulations
When and with whom do we share your personal information?
In Short: We may share information in specific situations described in this section and/or with the following third parties.
We affirm that our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google Workspace API User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for any purposes other than those explicitly necessary to provide and improve our application's functionality.
We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
Service operations. We disclose information to vendors supporting functions such as hosting, data storage, payment processing, and service emails, as described below.
Customer-selected integrations. We transfer information to the destinations you select to fulfill your reporting and export requests, including configured schedules. See how these connections work.
Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
In short: We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. See our Cookie Declaration for the listed cookies, their purposes and durations, and controls to change or withdraw your cookie consent.
Where is your information processed?
Adzviser uses Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States. Our application services and Cloud SQL database run in the us-central1 region. Our Google Cloud Storage buckets are configured in the US multi-region or us-central1, and our Cloud SQL backups are configured in the US.
When you use Adzviser from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Connected source platforms and destinations you select may also process information in other countries, depending on their services and settings. Choosing a destination in your country does not mean that all processing by Adzviser takes place there.
International-transfer safeguards
International transfers must meet the data-protection requirements that apply to the particular transfer. Accepting our Terms, connecting a source, or selecting a destination does not, by itself, replace any required transfer safeguard or constitute explicit consent to an international transfer.
Our Google Cloud hosting is subject to our agreement with Google. Google's Cloud Data Processing Addendum describes its security and international-transfer provisions, whose applicability depends on that agreement. These hosting terms do not, by themselves, establish the arrangements for every transfer from a customer to Adzviser or to a customer-selected destination.
For information about processing locations and the safeguards applicable to your data, including how to obtain a copy or description of relevant contractual protections, email zeyuan.gu@adzviser.com.
How long do we keep your information?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.
Retention depends on the type of information and why it is needed. We keep account and connection information as needed to provide the Services. Closing your account does not necessarily remove every record immediately: billing and transaction records may be needed for tax and accounting obligations, and limited records may be needed to investigate fraud or security incidents, resolve disputes, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We retain information for these purposes only as long as necessary or as required by applicable law.
When deciding how long to retain information, we consider whether the account or service is still in use, the nature and sensitivity of the information, unresolved transactions or disputes, and applicable legal retention requirements.
When personal information is no longer needed for the purposes described above and there is no applicable legal requirement to retain it, we delete or anonymize it. Copies in database backups may remain after deletion from active systems. Keeping a backup copy does not remove our obligations under applicable data-protection law, including any applicable requirements to erase information or restrict its use. For information about how a deletion request affects backup copies, email zeyuan.gu@adzviser.com.
How do we keep your information safe?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
How do we handle user consent and data sharing with third-party tools?
In short: Adzviser retrieves data from sources you connect and makes it available to the destinations you select, including AI tools, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and cloud storage or data warehouses.
How is data shared with third-party tools?
The reporting data flow is connected sources → Adzviser → your selected destinations. When you authorize a source connection, Adzviser retrieves account information and reporting data from that platform. Adzviser then returns data in response to requests from your connected tools or sends exports to destinations you configure, including through scheduled refreshes and exports.
What types of data are shared?
Depending on the integration and your request or export configuration, the data can include account and workspace identifiers, account names, selected metrics and breakdowns, and report results. For example, an AI tool can receive campaign performance data to answer your question, a spreadsheet or reporting tool can receive rows for a report, and a storage or warehouse destination can receive the exported records you select.
How are authentication credentials handled?
Credentials serve different purposes in these connections:
Access to Adzviser: Connected AI tools, spreadsheet add-ins, and reporting integrations use an Adzviser authorization token or API key, depending on the integration, to request data from Adzviser. These credentials authorize access to Adzviser; they are not your source-platform credentials. Power BI scheduled refresh can instead use a private Query URL that grants access to a saved query's results.
Access to source platforms: Adzviser uses the source-platform tokens or API keys provided through your source connections to retrieve data from those platforms. These source credentials are not included in the workspace information or report results returned to ChatGPT or other reporting destinations.
Access to storage and warehouses: For Amazon S3 and Google BigQuery exports, Adzviser uses the destination credentials you provide to authenticate with AWS or Google Cloud and write the selected records. Those credentials are separate from source-platform credentials and are not included in the exported records.
Why do we share data?
We share data to carry out your reporting, analysis, and export requests, including automations you configure.
Who are the third-party partners?
The destination providers depend on the integrations you choose. Examples include AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude; spreadsheets such as Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel; reporting tools such as Looker Studio and Power BI; and cloud storage or data warehouses such as Amazon S3 and Google BigQuery. These are examples, not an exhaustive list. See our destination guides for the available integrations, and review your selected provider's privacy policy for its data practices.
How do you authorize connections?
Authorization depends on the integration. OAuth connections ask you to sign in and authorize access. Other integrations use an Adzviser API key, source-platform credentials, or destination credentials that you provide. Power BI scheduled refresh can use a private Query URL. Configured schedules allow subsequent requests or exports without asking you to authorize each run.
Ensuring transparency and control
You can review connected source accounts in Workspace on Set Up. API keys are managed under Profile → Settings → API Keys; export destinations and pipelines have their own controls. These controls manage connections and configured jobs; they do not provide a complete record of every item shared with a destination.
Opting out
To stop access or future transfers, use the control for the relevant connection:
Source accounts: Remove the source connection from the relevant workspace on Set Up, or delete the workspace. A connection in another workspace remains separate. To revoke the underlying source authorization, use the source platform's access controls, where available.
Adzviser API keys: Select Revoke under Profile → Settings → API Keys. Integrations using that key will lose access.
OAuth clients: Use the client's disconnect or remove-connection control, where available. Removing a client connection does not necessarily invalidate previously issued authorization tokens. Contact us if you need help stopping access.
Scheduled transfers: Delete the S3 or BigQuery pipeline to remove its schedule. Delete the saved Power BI query to invalidate its Query URL. For Google Sheets refreshes, remove the schedule in the add-on using the Google account that created it.
Disconnecting access does not automatically delete reports, spreadsheets, or exported records already held by a destination. Manage those copies in the destination, or contact its provider for assistance. For help with Adzviser connections or privacy requests, contact us.
What are your privacy rights?
In Short: In some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.
In some regions (like the EEA, UK, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (ii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; and (iv) if applicable, to data portability. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. You can make such a request by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section "How can you contact us about this notice?" below.
We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
If you are located in the EEA or UK and you believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. You can find their contact details here: https://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/bodies/authorities/index_en.htm.
If you are located in Switzerland, the contact details for the data protection authorities are available here: https://www.edoeb.admin.ch/edoeb/en/home.html.
Withdrawing your consent
If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section "How can you contact us about this notice?" below.
However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
Opting out of marketing and promotional communications
You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send or by contacting us using the details provided in the section "How can you contact us about this notice?" below. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you—for example, to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
Account Information
To request access to or correction of your account information, or to close your account and request deletion, email zeyuan.gu@adzviser.com. Include the email associated with your account and what you want us to do; do not send passwords, API keys, or payment-card details. We may need to verify an account-access or deletion request before acting on it.
We will handle closure and deletion requests in accordance with applicable law. Some records may remain for the limited purposes explained under retention. Account deletion does not automatically delete copies already exported to your selected destinations.
Subscription cancellation and account deletion are different requests. To stop renewal, follow the billing and cancellation instructions. If you also want your account deleted, tell us when you contact us.
Cookies and similar technologies: Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and to reject cookies. If you choose to remove cookies or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our Services. To opt out of interest-based advertising by advertisers on our Services visit http://www.aboutads.info/choices/.
If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at zeyuan.gu@adzviser.com.
Do California residents have specific rights?
In Short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.
To request removal of personal information associated with you, see your right to request deletion below.
CCPA Privacy Notice
The California Code of Regulations defines a "resident" as:
every individual who is in the State of California for other than a temporary or transitory purpose and
every individual who is domiciled in the State of California who is outside the State of California for a temporary or transitory purpose
All other individuals are defined as "non-residents."
If this definition of "resident" applies to you, we must adhere to certain rights and obligations regarding your personal information.
What personal information do we collect?
The information processed depends on the features you use and the sources you connect:
Information Examples and purpose
Account and contact information Names, email addresses, and account identifiers used to manage your account and communicate with you.
Authentication information Login credentials, authorization tokens, and API keys used to authenticate users and connect accounts. See sensitive information.
Billing and subscription information Subscription and invoice identifiers, amounts, payment status, and renewal dates used to manage purchases and access to paid features.
Usage and technical information IP addresses, service logs, reporting activity, and export counts used to operate, troubleshoot, and measure use of the Services.
Connected-source data Account details and requested report fields. Depending on the source, these may include customer or lead names, email addresses, phone numbers, and transaction details as well as aggregated metrics.
Support correspondence Information you provide when asking for help or exercising your privacy rights, used to respond to your request.
These categories describe information processed through the Services; they do not mean every user provides every type of information. See retention for how long information is kept.
How do we use and share your personal information?
More information about our data collection and sharing practices can be found in this privacy notice.
You may contact us by visiting https://www.adzviser.com/contact-us, or by referring to the contact details at the bottom of this document.
If you are using an authorized agent to exercise your right to opt out we may deny a request if the authorized agent does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf.
Will your information be shared with anyone else?
We disclose personal information as needed to operate the Services and carry out the reporting and export requests you configure. The recipients and information depend on the service or integration involved:
Vendors supporting the Services: Providers of hosting, data storage, payment processing, and service emails process information needed for those functions. Depending on their role, this can include contact and account information, subscription and transaction details, and data processed through the Services.
Destinations you select: Connected AI tools, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and storage or warehouse providers receive the account information and report data needed for your configured requests and exports. See how data and credentials are handled.
Business transfers: Information may be disclosed in the circumstances described under when and with whom we share personal information.
Sale of personal information for money. Adzviser does not sell personal information for money and has not done so in the past twelve (12) months. California's broader definitions of sale and sharing are explained below.
What does “sharing” mean here? Sending a report to a tool you select is a disclosure of data. California law uses “sharing” more narrowly for disclosing personal information to target advertising based on a person's activity across different businesses or services, even if no money changes hands. A “sale” can involve money or another valuable benefit. Certain disclosures to service providers or at a consumer's direction are excluded when the legal requirements are met. Whether an exclusion applies depends on the recipient's actual use of the data and the applicable agreements; selecting an integration does not automatically establish an exclusion.
For example, exporting the report you requested to your BigQuery project serves a different purpose from sending website-visitor information to an advertising service for retargeting. This distinction explains the types of use; it does not mean that every disclosure is a sale or that every integration is exempt. To ask about information associated with you or exercise an applicable privacy right, email zeyuan.gu@adzviser.com.
Your rights with respect to your personal data
Right to request deletion of the data - Request to delete
You can ask for the deletion of your personal information. If you ask us to delete your personal information, we will respect your request and delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions provided by law, such as (but not limited to) the exercise by another consumer of his or her right to free speech, our compliance requirements resulting from a legal obligation, or any processing that may be required to protect against illegal activities.
Right to be informed - Request to know
Depending on the circumstances, you have a right to know.
whether we collect and use your personal information;
the categories of personal information that we collect;
the purposes for which the collected personal information is used;
whether we sell or share personal information to third parties;
the categories of personal information that we sold, shared, or disclosed for a business purpose;
the categories of third parties to whom the personal information was sold, shared, or disclosed for a business purpose;
the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing personal information; and
the specific pieces of personal information we collected about you.
In accordance with applicable law, we are not obligated to provide or delete consumer information that is de-identified in response to a consumer request or to re-identify individual data to verify a consumer request.
Right to Non-Discrimination for the Exercise of a Consumer's Privacy Rights
We will not discriminate against you if you exercise your privacy rights.
Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information
Where the CCPA applies, you may have the right to limit uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information beyond the purposes permitted by that law. Processing account-access information to provide requested services does not, by itself, mean every use is subject to this right. To ask about our processing or exercise an applicable right, email zeyuan.gu@adzviser.com.
Verification process
For requests to access, correct, or delete personal information, we verify your identity as required by applicable law to avoid giving another person access to your information or changing it without authority. We use information already associated with your account where possible and ask only for additional information reasonably needed for verification. Information collected for verification is used for that purpose and retained only as necessary to complete verification and meet applicable legal requirements.
California requests to opt out of sale or sharing, or to exercise an applicable right to limit use of sensitive personal information, do not require identity verification. We may ask for the limited information needed to identify the information or browser to which your request applies, but do not require you to create an account. An authorized agent may need to provide proof of authority where permitted by law.
