Introduction
UNOsync ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about how we handle your personal data when you use our Chrome extension and visit our website, and tell you about your privacy rights.
Data We Collect
When you use UNOsync, we collect and process the following data:
WhatsApp messages that you choose to sync
WhatsApp media files you choose to sync, when we host them instead of HubSpot Files
Contact information from your WhatsApp conversations
Your HubSpot authentication tokens
Basic usage statistics to improve our service
Billing and payment information (processed by Stripe)
Subscription and plan management data
Customer support communications
WhatsApp Media
On a paid plan, photos, videos, documents, and voicenotes you sync are stored in one of two places:
HubSpot Files when your HubSpot user can grant File Manager edit permission. Those files live in your HubSpot portal.
UNOsync hosted when that permission is missing, or when you choose this option in Settings. We store the file in private storage and put a time-limited, unguessable link on the HubSpot contact timeline.
We do not use these files for advertising or train models on them. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete hosted copies we still hold. Files already uploaded to HubSpot stay in your HubSpot portal until you delete them there.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data for the following purposes:
To sync your selected WhatsApp messages to HubSpot
To maintain and improve our service
To provide customer support
To process payments and manage subscriptions
To comply with legal obligations
To send important service updates and billing notifications
Payment Processing and Billing Data
We use Stripe, a third-party payment processor, to handle all billing and payment transactions. When you subscribe to a paid plan:
Payment information (credit card details, billing addresses) is processed directly by Stripe and subject to their privacy policy
We store only the minimum billing information necessary to manage your subscription
Stripe customer IDs and subscription IDs are stored to link your account with billing records
Billing history and invoice data may be stored for accounting and support purposes

Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Payment information is handled securely by Stripe using industry-standard encryption and security practices.
Data Retention
We retain your data for the following periods:
Account data: Retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion
Hosted media: Retained while your account is active; deleted when you request account deletion
Billing records: Retained for 7 years for accounting and tax purposes
Support communications: Retained for 2 years to provide ongoing support
Usage analytics: Retained for 1 year to improve our service

Under data protection laws, you have rights including:
