Privacy
How we handle personal data, and the cookies this site uses.
Privacy statement
This statement explains how Adventurous Bits handles personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in Dutch the AVG). It covers this website. It does not cover data inside your own Salesforce org. See “Our products” below.
Who is responsible
Adventurous Bits is the controller for the personal data described here. Our company details are in the footer of every page. For any question about this statement, or to exercise a right below, use the contact form.
What we collect, and why
If you use the contact form we receive your name, your email address, your company if you supply one, and the message you write. We use it only to answer you and, where relevant, to follow up on a possible working relationship.
Legal basis. For an enquiry about our products this is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: steps taken at your request before entering a contract. For a general enquiry it is Article 6(1)(f): our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. You are never required to give more than a name, an email address and a message.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for twelve months and then deleted, unless they become part of a customer relationship, in which case the retention period for customer records applies. Records relevant to a contract or to our tax obligations are kept for seven years.
Who else processes it
This website runs on Salesforce Experience Cloud, so Salesforce processes the data you submit on our behalf as a processor, under a data processing agreement. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
Where it is stored. Our Salesforce environment is hosted in the European Union. We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on legitimate interest you may object at any time. Ask us through the contact form and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the authority in your own EU country.
Our products
Our products are managed packages that install into your own Salesforce org and run entirely inside it. Your data is not transmitted to us and we cannot access it, so for that data you remain the controller and we are not a processor. This is a property of how they are built, not a policy choice.
Cookies
This site runs on Salesforce Experience Cloud, which sets functional cookies needed to serve pages and to keep you signed in if you have an account. These are strictly necessary and do not require consent.
Analytics and tracking. None. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and this site loads no third-party content. The only cookies it sets record your own cookie preference.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking functional cookies may stop parts of this site working.
