Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Derek Coleman & Associates Inc ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with our website, our Azure Marketplace offers, and our consulting and managed services.

This is the privacy policy of Derek Coleman & Associates Inc, publisher of hardened open-source virtual machine images, Kubernetes (container) applications, and software-as-a-service offers on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Questions? Email support@dcassociatesgroup.com.
1. Who we are
Derek Coleman & Associates Inc is the data controller for personal information processed through this website and our services. You can reach us at support@dcassociatesgroup.com for any privacy-related request.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you complete a contact, support, or early-access form, or email us, we collect your name, email address, company name (optional), the topic you select, and the contents of your message.
Support and transaction context. If you contact us about an Azure Marketplace offer, we may process the offer name, your Azure region, and troubleshooting details you choose to share.
Marketplace lead data. When you express interest in, purchase, or deploy one of our offers on the Azure Marketplace, Microsoft may share lead details with us — such as your name, email address, company, and the offer concerned — so we can follow up on your interest. Microsoft's sharing of that data with publishers is governed by your agreement with Microsoft and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Technical and usage data. Like most websites, our hosting platform (Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps) automatically records standard server logs such as IP address, browser user-agent, requested URLs, and timestamps for security, reliability, and abuse-prevention purposes.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. How we use information
To respond to your inquiries and provide customer and technical support.
To deliver, operate, maintain, and improve our marketplace offers and our consulting and managed services.
To send transactional and service communications you request (for example, a reply to your message or early-access updates you opted into).
To secure our website and services, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We rely on your consent, our legitimate interest in operating and securing our business, and the performance of a contract or service you request as the legal bases for these uses, as applicable.
4. How your data is stored and secured
Contact-form submissions are transmitted over TLS, stored in Azure Table storage within our own Microsoft Azure subscription, and delivered to our business mailboxes; marketplace lead data is stored in our customer relationship management systems hosted on Microsoft cloud services. Our website and its contact API are hosted on Microsoft Azure. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Third parties and sub-processors
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate our business, and only as needed for them to perform their services. These include:
Microsoft Azure — website and application hosting, and (for Azure Marketplace transactions) billing and order processing carried out by Microsoft under Microsoft's own terms and privacy statement.
Email and productivity providers — used to receive and respond to your messages.
When you purchase or deploy one of our offers through the Azure Marketplace, Microsoft acts as the merchant of record and processes your transaction under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Software you deploy runs inside your own Azure subscription under your control; we do not have access to the data processed by your deployed instances unless you engage us for managed services and explicitly grant access.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Correspondence is typically retained for the duration of our business relationship and a reasonable period thereafter.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@dcassociatesgroup.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States and may process personal information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.
9. Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the updated policy at this URL. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
