Privacy Policy Last updated: August 20, 2026 1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers Glyde is operated by WOX LLC, a Washington limited liability company (“Glyde,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our website, Chrome extension, and web application (together, the “Service”). Two Different Roles We handle two distinct kinds of information, and our responsibilities differ for each: Account and website data. Information about you as a Glyde user or visitor — your name, email, billing details, and how you use the Service. We decide how this information is used, which makes us the controller of it. Customer content. The recordings, screenshots, transcripts, and documentation you create with Glyde. We process this only on your instructions in order to deliver the Service, which makes us a processor acting on your behalf. If you use Glyde through your employer, your employer controls this content and its own privacy policy governs it. 2. Information We Collect Information You Provide When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. For paid plans, our payment processor collects your billing and payment card details — we receive only the last four digits, card brand, and billing country, never your full card number. We also collect anything you send us in support requests, surveys, or sales conversations. Customer Content We store the screen recordings, screenshots, audio, transcripts, generated SOPs, and other documentation you create or upload. Recordings may incidentally capture whatever was visible or audible on your screen at the time — including personal information about other people. See section 12 for your responsibilities here. Usage and Device Data We automatically log information about how the Service is used: pages and features accessed, actions taken, timestamps, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and operating system, device identifiers, extension version, and error and diagnostic data. Integration Data If you connect a third-party tool to Glyde, we receive the data that integration makes available under the permissions you grant — such as your account identifier and the content you choose to import or export. You can revoke these connections at any time. 3. How We Use Information We use information to: Provide, operate, and maintain the Service Convert your recordings into documentation using the AI processing described in section 4 Process payments, manage subscriptions, and send billing notices Send service messages, security alerts, and support responses Diagnose problems, monitor reliability, and improve performance and features Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents Send marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms 4. AI Processing and Model Training Turning a recording into a usable SOP requires AI models we do not run ourselves. To do this, your recordings, screenshots, audio, and transcripts are transmitted to the AI providers listed in section 5 — currently OpenAI, Anthropic, Fireworks AI, Google, and Microsoft Azure — which process the content and return the generated documentation. We do not train AI models on your content, and we do not permit our providers to. We access these providers through enterprise and API tiers whose terms prohibit using submitted data to train or improve their models. Your content is used to produce your output and for nothing else. AI providers may retain submitted content for a limited period for abuse monitoring, as required by their own terms, after which it is deleted. We do not sell your content, and we do not share it with advertisers. AI-generated documentation can contain errors or omissions. Review generated SOPs before relying on them, particularly for safety-critical, financial, medical, or legal processes. 5. How We Share Information We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information in these circumstances: Subprocessors and Service Providers We use the following subprocessors to operate the Service. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions and to maintain appropriate security. Subprocessor Purpose Location OpenAI AI processing of recordings and transcripts to generate documentation United States Anthropic AI processing of recordings and transcripts to generate documentation United States Fireworks AI AI model inference for transcription and document generation United States Google AI model processing and cloud infrastructure United States Microsoft Azure Cloud hosting, storage, and AI model processing United States Stripe Payment processing, billing, and subscription management United States Amazon Web Services (SES) Transactional and service email delivery United States Microsoft 365 Business email, productivity, and internal file storage United States Slack Internal team communication and customer support workflows United States We will update this list before engaging a new subprocessor that handles customer content. Customers with a signed data processing agreement may request advance notice of changes by emailing us. At Your Direction When you connect an integration or export documentation to another tool, we transmit the data you select to that tool. Its own privacy policy then governs. Legal and Safety We may disclose information where we believe it is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Glyde, our users, or the public. Where legally permitted, we will notify you before responding to a request for your content. Business Transfers If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership of your personal information. 6. Cookies and Analytics We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and secure the Service. For product analytics we use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool served from our own domain. It does not use advertising cookies, does not build cross-site profiles, and does not track you across other websites. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party ad networks on the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in. 7. Data Retention We retain customer content for as long as your account is active. When you delete content it is removed from the active Service immediately and purged from encrypted backups within 30 days. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your account data and customer content within 30 days, except where we must retain records longer to comply with tax, accounting, or other legal obligations, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Aggregated and de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely. 8. Security We employ technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, least-privilege access for employees, logging, and periodic security review. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and security risk is inherent in all internet technologies. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, please contact us at the address in section 15. 9. International Data Transfers We are based in the United States and our subprocessors operate primarily in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where applicable) together with supplementary safeguards. You may request a copy of the relevant transfer mechanism by contacting us. 10. Your Rights and Choices Access and Update You can review and update your account information at any time in your account settings. Export You can export your documentation and content from the Service at any time using the built-in export features. Deletion You can delete individual content from within the Service, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some information may be retained as described in section 7. Marketing Preferences You can opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link in any such message. You will continue to receive service-related messages such as billing and security notices. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, as there is no common standard for them. We do honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request where applicable law requires it — though note that we do not sell or share personal information in the first place. 11. U.S. State Privacy Rights This section applies to residents of U.S. states with applicable privacy laws, including California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others (the “State Privacy Laws”). Not every right is available to every resident, and we may decline a request where the law permits. Depending on your state, you may have the right to: Know the categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to Access a copy of the personal information we hold Correct inaccurate personal information Delete personal information we collected from you Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, and profiling with legal or similarly significant effects Appeal a denial of any request you have submitted Exercise these rights free from discrimination in service or price Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of anyone under 16. Sensitive Personal Information We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you. Recordings you create may incidentally contain sensitive information; we process that content solely to deliver the Service. How to Exercise These Rights Email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Rights Request,” or write to us at the postal address in section 15. To protect your information we will verify your request against the email address and account details on file, and we may ask for additional information where we cannot otherwise confirm your identity. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with valid written authorization or a power of attorney, and we may separately verify your identity. California Shine the Light California residents may request the identity of any third parties to whom we disclosed personal information for their own direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. We do not make such disclosures. 12. Recording Responsibly Glyde records your screen and, if you enable it, your microphone. Recordings can capture information about people other than you — colleagues, customers, or anyone whose data is visible in the applications you record. You are responsible for having the legal basis to make each recording, including obtaining consent where the law requires it. Some U.S. states and many other countries require the consent of every party to an audio recording. Do not record regulated data — such as protected health information, payment card numbers, or government identifiers — unless you have a written agreement with us that covers it. 13. Notice to European and UK Users Controller For account and website data, WOX LLC is the controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR. For customer content, we act as a processor on behalf of our customer. Legal Bases We process personal information on the following bases: Contract — to provide the Service, set up your account, and process payments Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, improve our product, and communicate with business contacts, balanced against your rights Consent — for non-essential cookies and marketing where consent is required; you may withdraw consent at any time Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and other statutory requirements Your Rights You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information; object to or request restriction of processing; and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in section 15. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, though we ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter. Automated Decision-Making We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. Data Processing Agreement Our Data Processing Addendum applies automatically where we process personal data on your behalf, and incorporates the Standard Contractual Clauses for EU, UK, and Swiss transfers. Email [email protected] if you need a countersigned copy. 14. Children The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it as required by law. 15. Changes and How to Contact Us We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the date above and, where required, notify you by email or in the Service. Your continued use after the effective date means the updated policy applies.
