Security at Q-CTRL
At Q-CTRL, security is fundamental to everything we do. As a global leader in quantum technology, we understand that our ability to innovate, scale, and earn trust depends on the security and resilience of the systems and information that power our business.
We’re committed to safeguarding our intellectual property, our people, our customers, and our partners. Working across sectors including defense, aerospace, enterprise and government, we adhere to the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
Built on trust and transparency
Our approach to information security is embedded in every layer of our operations, from product design, engineering and research to supplier management and employee training.
This foundation of trust and transparency ensures we deliver technology that our customers can rely on with confidence.
Compliance
Our security framework
Q-CTRL maintains a robust security posture built on a foundation of international excellence and rigorous regulatory compliance. Since July 2023, we have been ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, ensuring a systematic approach to managing sensitive information through a comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS).
This global standard is complemented by a long-standing commitment to foundational IT hygiene, evidenced by Cyber Essentials certification held since 2022. By integrating these frameworks, Q-CTRL ensures that data integrity and availability are woven into the fabric of its operational DNA, providing a secure environment for cutting-edge quantum innovation.
Beyond general best practices, Q-CTRL adheres to stringent requirements for high-stakes sectors, including defense and international trade. The program has been aligned with NIST SP 800-171 since May 2024 to safeguard United States Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), alongside active membership in the Australian Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) since March 2024.
These credentials, paired with strict adherence to global export control regulations - including ITAR, EAR, SECL, and DTCA - demonstrate a sophisticated capability to handle sensitive technology while protecting national security interests. This multi-layered framework ensures that Q-CTRL remains a trusted partner for government and enterprise collaborators worldwide.
